Missions
Jesus said: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations . . .”
We take this commission seriously. Therefore, we are seeking to reach people with the good news of Jesus Christ world-wide, through praying, giving, and sending.
These are the missionaries we are currently supporting through giving and prayer:
Campus Crusade for Christ in Moldova (New Life Moldova)
Many CVBC members have adopted New Life Moldova staff and are supporting them on a monthly basis. We also send each year to do Biblical training of the staff.
Ed & Coralee Murray
The Murrays have served with Campus Crusade for Christ since Ed's graduation for Dallas Seminary in 1973. From 19-73-1993, they served in Austria and behind the iron curtain primarily in East Germany. Ed is working with a church planting team in Eastern Europe.
Amy Paige
Amy is serving with the ministry of 2 8 9 Design, creating literature and electronic media for ministries to clearly and creatively help communicate the message of God's grace.
John Goodding
John is serving with the ministry of 2 8 9 Design. The purpose of the ministry is to clearly and creatively help communicate the message of God's grace to others.
GES
Bob Wilkin is the Founder (1986) and Executive Director of Grace Evangelical Society (GES). The purpose of GES is to promote the message of God's free grace both in terms of evangelism and discipleship, while keeping those two messages distinct. This goal is accomplished via newsletters, journals, books, conferences, speaking engagements, website and personal correspondence.
John Claeys
The vision of John Claeys Ministries is to impact lives for eternity by reaching and preparing the most people possible for the coming kingdom. This involves reaching unbelievers with the Biblical gospel of grace—the good news of Jesus’ promise of eternal life to all who believe Him for it—so they can enter the kingdom. The second level involves preparing believers in Christ to maximize their kingdom experience by teaching, encouraging, and motivating them to live for Christ, all based on the clear and accurate presentation of God’s word, so they can rule in the kingdom.
Portion For Orphans
Portion For Orphans is a non-profit organization that seeks to raise public awareness about orphans worldwide, improve the quality of care provided to orphans, and promote their physical and spiritual development. Portion For Orphans was founded and is directed by Sally Lockett.
Pedro & Elizabeth Gutierrez
Pedro serves as pastor of El Buen Pastor (The Good Shepherd) in Dallas, Texas. This church offers discipleship classes for new believers, biblical counseling for couples and families both inside and outside the church, piano lessons specifically geared toward helping other Hispanic churches that are in need of pianists, and Sunday school classes in both Spanish and English.

Harrison County Food Bank
Food items are donated to the Harrison County Food Bank, which meets the physical needs of those in our local community through food distribution.
East Texas Open Door
Our church body is involved in mentoring and caring for troubled girls while they are staying at ETOD. A special Christmas program is planned each year to uplift the girls and make them each feel special.
God's Design Church
Many young families in Moldova are being reached through small groups and outreach.
Short Term Missions
Members of our body travel to various countries including Nicaragua, Thailand, Moldova, Kenya and India sharing the Gospel and meeting needs.
